Villanova students seek to live out the Augustinian core values of love, truth, and unity through serving the ill, disabled, hungry, homeless, elderly, and many other people in need throughout the year. Freshmen are required to complete 10 hours each year; sophomores, juniors, and seniors must complete 20 hours.
Campus Ministry strives to provide many opportunities to assist the students with completing their hours: Habitat for Humanity, HELP of Ojai, and visiting retirement homes are just a few examples of Campus Ministry sponsored service.
Although the school only requires 10 hours of service for freshman and 20 hours for sophomores, juniors, and seniors, many of our students go above and beyond the service hour requirement, and they truly embrace the school's mission and "express to the world the qualities of love, truth, and community.”
Villanova hopes that each student is touched by God and neighbors while doing service, and that each student makes doing Christian service a part of his/her life well beyond his/her years at Villanova.
