The President of Villanova Preparatory School will present a Lenten Lecture Series on Mary of Nazareth, Myths and Realities: A Journey with Mary, Mother of God and our Mother.

 Villanova Preparatory School alumni parents Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Maloon are the very first to purchase a donor inscription plate for the new Black Box Theater seating.

The Black Box Theater renovation began in October, when workers removed the interior walls of Ingalls Hall a single story structure built in the 1950s that previously housed a small art classroom and theater space.

Sound and lighting equipment, the seating, and other interior finishing materials are currently being delivered.

The offer to inscribe a donor plate for $295 was recently published in the Fall/Winter edition of Vista magazine which goes out to parents, alumni and donors.

 

 The  sophomore class took a trip to the Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral on January 27. 

Villanova held its first Poetry Out Loud competition on Wednesday, January 25.  Zoe Appleby was the champion. She recited "Ars Poetica" by Archibald Macleish. Zoe will now go on to the Ventura County competition on February 9. The public is invited to attend the county competition and give encouragement, 3:30pm to 5:30pm at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, 3050 Los Angeles Avenue, Simi Valley.

 Bishop Thomas J. Curry will celebrate Mass on Thursday for Catholic Schools week. Schools across the nation are celebrating. The theme this year is “Catholic Schools: Faith. Academics. Service”.  On Thursay the Parent Guild will host a thank you luncheon for staff.

 The Recycling Club is launching a month-long campaign February 1st, titled Mahalo for Recycling.

 The Recycling Club at Villanova Preparatory School in Ojai is launching a month-long campaign February 1st, titled Mahalo for Recycling. On that day, the VPS recycling bins will be decked out in green grass skirts and students and staff will wear green or Hawaiian shirts to attend the kick-off assembly in the gym at 2:30 pm.

 The Athletic and Development Offices at Villanova Preparatory School in Ojai have joined forces to sponsor the 2012 Wildcat Classic Golf Tournament.
