Villanova Preparatory School is the only Augustinian co-ed boarding school in the United States. The cornerstone of Villanova for over eighty years, the residential life program brings students, staff and faculty together in a supportive and nurturing environment. At Villanova our hope is to cultivate a well-rounded student. This is not limited to academics. We believe that each student is a more complete person when she/he is involved in activities which can turn into positive passions developed well beyond the high school years. We are also keenly aware that colleges no longer accept students solely on academic achievement. Involvement outside the academic sphere is equally emphasized for college admission consideration. Beginning with freshman year, each Villanova student is expected to be involved in one or more extra-curricular or co-curricular activities.
Since our program of studies is intense, it is important that the student have positive outlet(s) to re-focus one’s attention away from the books for a while. Non-athletic clubs and organizations allow a Villanova student the opportunity to develop a passion in the area of human and social service as well as cultural and artistic endeavors. Essential to all of our clubs and organizations is an awareness of the ability to do good while having fun building community.
