A Villanova graduate ideally has a sense of intellectual curiosity and a love of learning, is able to set priorities, achieve goals and is able to adapt effectively to changing conditions and situations. The Resource Center combines the Keller Library and one of Villanovas computer labs giving students a place to explore topics of interest, complete research for assignments and finalize projects during break and after school.
Students and Faculty have access to 20 iMac and two eMac computers, a projection screen, three printers, and a scanner, making the Resource Center a functional computer lab for class use. All computers have access to Villanovas file server, email server and the Internet. In addition, students have access to the following high quality databases that support the curriculum: EBSCOs Ultra database, Science Reference Center, Electric Library, Todays Science, Questia, and Britannica Online. VPS Links was created to target Academic Web sources and is updated periodically to help students adapt effectively to changing Internet information.
The Resource Center's book collection continues to grow with approximately 5000 volumes. New acquisitions in all subject areas provide students with current print sources to complement their Internet resources.
