• PARENT EDUCATION

The Counseling Office works in conjunction with parents to support students through their high school education and college search process. We offer opportunities for fellowship and education for parents during morning and evening programs.

    Coffee with College Counselors

A morning presentation usually on the first Friday of each month. Topics cover areas of interest for parents from all age levels. We encourage parents of students of all grades to attend these presentations if possible. There is usually a guest speaker invited to shed light on a particular topic.

    Evening Presentations

Evening speakers are most often scheduled for topics of great importance to parents, like financial aid in college and understanding AP and IB courses. There is usually a guest speaker invited to shed light on a particular topic, or the counselors provide in-depth information into a particular area of interest. We encourage parents of students of all grades to attend these presentations.

    Parent and Faculty Book Club

Four books are read during the year -- one in each quarter -- that encourage fruitful discussion between faculty and parents. A book club is then held once each quarter with coffee, pastries, and fellowship.
