Villanova is preparing for a return to in-person learning
-
Click here to see the recent changes to our classrooms. Desks are socially distanced. The second outdoor learning space is nearing completion. Sanitizing stations are in common areas. Signage directs traffic flow through hallways. We can't wait for our community to be together again... with proper spacing, of course.

Villanova's Back to School Night is Virtual
-
Villanova's faculty and administration have compiled together a series of videos, replacing our traditional Back to School Evening. Click here to download the pdf containing all video links. Teachers are listed alphabetically, their respective videos for each class included. Feel free to reach out to teachers directly with any questions. You may find their contact information within our faculty and staff directory.
Villanova Utilizes Google's G Suite for Education
-
Villanova utilizes Google’s G Suite for Education, which includes Google Drive, Gmail, Google Classroom, and Google Calendar. All G Suite tools encourage collaboration, communication, and creativity. Villanova students gain the technology skills with help from teachers, and our IT department, to master the G Suite tools. Google Classroom allows parents to become Google Classroom Guardians. This daily or weekly report gives parents and guardians access via email to classwork summaries for each class from Google Classroom. If you would like to become a Google Classroom Guardian, email your child's teacher and ask for them to send you the email link.

Resident Students Abroad Utilize Canvas
-
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of Villanova's resident students are unable to travel from their home country to campus. Since Google is not available in every country, we have adopted Canvas as the learning management system for our resident students whom remain abroad. Villanova's schedule includes weekly night classes for faculty to connect with students. Our evening in California is Asia's morning time. Parents and students can find additional resources below regarding receiving notifications and submitting assignments.
Distance Learning for the Foreseeable Future
-
Per the Governor’s mandate on July 17, we must conduct online distance learning until Ventura County qualifies for removal from the County Monitoring List. We encourage all residents of Ventura County to wear face coverings and practice safe social distancing.
We recognize our families desire in-person learning, and we believe this is also the best form of an Augustinian education. Our plan considers varying educational environments to ensure both a priority of safety and a desire for physical learning.
For the foreseeable future, Villanova will be conducting online distance learning for all students. Villanova's faculty have completed summer professional development in anticipation of providing online learning. With two class meetings per week and evening meetings for students in other timezones, faculty and staff are excited to start this fall.
