A CATHOLIC DAY AND BOARDING SCHOOL IN THE AUGUSTINIAN TRADITION SINCE 1924
Christmas Day is almost upon us
Advent is an exciting season to anticipate the coming of Christ.
Lord, I pray that during this time of chaos and hurry that You would help us to slow down.
So often we lose hope, but this reminds us that God is omnipotent, forever watching over us and guiding us.
"Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus."
Lord, Jesus Christ, from whom all rise and fall-
"If we do not have peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other."
"Take a minute to listen to your own breathing"
On this second week of Advent, we are given a time to consider one of the most crucial moments of the Christian story
I don’t know about you, but this is not my idea of a satisfying ending
"Two are better than one ... for if they fall, one will lift up the other."
In this time of waiting and opening our hearts for the Lord to come
Advent, which literally means “beginning,” is a time to let us renew our commitment again.
"I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth"
If I’m being honest, I don’t always find it easy to be joyful at Christmastime.
"It is the hour for you to wake up"
