Villanova Students Attend the Ocean Pollution Summit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium
Villanova Students Attend the Ocean Pollution Summit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium: Members of Villanova Prep’s Environmental Club attended the Ocean Plastic Pollution Summit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium last weekend. Donna Jones, CBL Moderator and VPS Science Department Chair, chaperoned three Villanova junior students for the weekend in Monterey.
The event included a keynote speaker, project sharing, and a sleepover in the aquarium. The main focus of Villanova's project this year was to increase the use of metal utensils in the dining hall at lunch and to reduce the use of single-use plastics (see photo, bottom right).
Villanova was one of more than fifty schools in attendance at this summit. This is the 4th year Villanova has participated in the summit.
