Welcome back, Wildcats! We are delighted to welcome back our students for the orientations this week and look forward to beginning classes next week. It is great to see everyone on campus over the last two days and see the energy and enthusiasm of students and teachers to return to in-person classes on campus. This is a big step for our school but I am confident that we can work together in the spirit of unity and love to follow all of the guidelines and maintain a safe campus environment. I am especially grateful to:
Dr. Mallon who led the efforts for our campus to be compliant with local, state, and national guidelines,
Mr. Roney for supporting teachers and setting up classrooms for the hybrid schedule,
Mr. Aquino for facilitating technological upgrades to our campus so we can efficiently run hybrid classes,
Nurse Abrena for guiding us in the health and safety protocols,
the maintenance crew for cleaning and preparing our campus with new touchless fixtures and UV filtration in every room,
the COVID Task force to review and recommend safety protocols for our campus,
all of the faculty and staff that have worked throughout the summer and the first quarter preparing for this transition to in-person classes,
and our parents and students for the patience and trust they have shown during this time away from campus.
We will be successful in reopening if we work together and seriously follow the guidelines established to ensure a safe campus. All members of the Villanova community will need to complete a daily health screening, temperature check, wear facial coverings, social distance, good hygiene practices, and avoiding situations that may increase the risk of contracting COVID-19.
Again, it was a joy to see everyone on campus and look forward to finishing out the school year together on the Villanova campus.
