On Thursday evening, the Villanova community welcomed its newest members to campus for the first time. The Class of 2025 and their families were received at the annual Welcome Wildcat Dinner that is thrown for each incoming class. The new Wildcats had a chance to meet each other and play some games with our ambassadors while the parents mingled and met with Mr. Grisin and the administration. The families then enjoyed an Enchilada dinner followed by student speeches from freshmen Izzy Aguirre, Jonas Rutherford, Elaine Haddox, and senior Christopher Gutierrez. The freshmen gave advice to the new freshmen about what to expect next year, and Christopher gave a senior’s perspective at the end of a four year journey. You can watch Christopher’s fantastic speech by clicking the video below. The freshmen then sang the Alma Mater together for the first time and headed home.
The class of 2025 hails from 17 different area schools, including 6 different Catholic schools. Our new residents are from the U.S., Mexico, China, Korea, Serbia, and Italy. The class has 3 Merit Scholars and 9 Augustinian Scholars. We are so excited to welcome the 97th Villanova class to our school next year.
