December 24th

Christmas Day is almost upon us, a special time we commemorate the day our Savior was born in a Bethlehem stable over 2000 years ago.  In the midst of our last-minute shopping for gifts and our preparations to meet with family and friends, let us not lose focus on the true purpose of this Advent during these final hours of this season of preparation: to ready ourselves for the commemoration of Jesus’ birth by fully welcoming Him into our minds and our hearts. Reflect back upon the month of December and ask yourself: “How well have I prepared myself spiritually for the coming of Christ at Christmas?”. If you are not satisfied with your answer, you still have a few more hours to "prepare the way of the Lord" and make room for the newborn Christ child to fill our restless heart and parched soul with His illuminating light and his unconditional love.
