Villanova Parent Volunteer Opportunities

Homecoming Week/Tailgate Party
The volunteers support the tailgate party set-up and assist with the halftime presentation of the Homecoming Court. Volunteers are also needed to help decorate and set up for the Homecoming dance.

Senior Breakfasts
The senior breakfasts are held on a school day during the year. Senior parents are invited to support the event by helping with food preparation, serving, clean-up, and donating breakfast items.

Christmas Las Posadas
Volunteers are needed to assist with decorations, set-up, and clean-up for the event. We also welcome food donations to help supplement the dinner served following the procession. In addition, we’re looking for someone to lead the piñata activity. Families from all grade levels are encouraged to participate and join in the celebration.

Catholic Schools Week-Teacher/Staff Appreciation Luncheon
A luncheon is held on campus on Friday, the last day of CSW week, for our teachers and staff.  Lunch is prepared by our kitchen staff, and the luncheon is hosted by all grade-level parents. Volunteering includes decorating tables in themes chosen by volunteers, setting up, and cleaning up.

International Day
Parent volunteers assist with performance preparations, coordinate attire, and help organize and prepare the food.

Annual Auction and Dinner
This is the school’s premier fundraising event and gala of the year—a fun and festive evening for our community. Parent volunteers from all grade levels are essential to its success, with plenty of opportunities to get involved, including item procurement, basket assembly, decorating, set-up, and clean-up. We are looking for committee leads. Planning begins in the fall, with meetings scheduled in the months leading up to the event.

Junior Class Leadership Mass and Dinner
This special evening Mass for junior students and their families is held at St. Thomas Aquinas in Ojai. A reception follows the Mass, traditionally hosted by the sophomore class parents. Freshman and senior parents are also welcome to volunteer and support the event. Help is needed for setup, hosting, and cleanup.

Golf Committee
A fun event for all parents to get involved in by volunteering and playing.

Baccalaureate Mass and Dinner
Held on the evening before graduation, the Baccalaureate Mass takes place at St. Thomas Aquinas in Ojai, followed by a dinner reception for the senior class and their guests. The event is traditionally hosted by junior class parents, with support from freshman and sophomore parents also greatly appreciated.

Graduation Reception
A cookies and refreshments reception is held for graduates and their guests immediately following the Graduation Ceremony. Traditionally hosted by junior class parents, support from freshman and sophomore parents is also welcome. Volunteers are needed for flower arrangements, decor, set-up, and clean-up to help make this a memorable celebration.

Athletics
Athletic volunteer opportunities include helping with game day operations such as managing gate entry and ticket sales, snack bar, scorekeeping, timekeeping, and filming. Volunteers can also support team fundraising events or serve as a team coordinator, acting as a liaison between coaches, families, and scholar-athletes and assisting with all team-related activities.Transportation Volunteers
Assist with driving students to and from school events, activities, or athletic competitions. A LiveScan background check is required before transporting students.
