Coach Melissa Brueckner is entering her 14th year coaching Volleyball and her second season here at Villanova. Mel was born and raised in Camarillo and attended Oaks Christian High School. She has spent the last 5 years in Fort Wayne, Indiana leading a high school and middle school volleyball program. Coach Mel focuses on fundamentals and making well-rounded student-athletes on and off the court. She has a spunky 1 year old daughter, Mary, that you will see toddling around from time to time!

Girls Volleyball has been running summer practices throughout June & held official team tryouts the week of June 29. Students who missed tryouts are still able to join the teams, reach out to athletics@villanovaprep.org for more details. This summer, the JV and Varsity teams will be participating in summer leagues & tournaments throughout Ventura County. The first CIF-SS game will be August 20th in our home Villanova gym!

‍Summer practices run thru July, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, 12:30 to 2:00 PM. In-season practices are Monday thru Wednesday, 4:00 to 5:30 PM. CIF-SS Games are typically Tuesday & Thursday with 4:00 & 5:30 PM game times. Transportation will be provided to & from away games. There may be times where parent volunteer drivers will be needed. Girls Volleyball Spirit Packs include a game day polo, jerseys, jacket, practice shirts, & backpack. Coach Mel has an aggressive & FUN fundraising plan this season for the girls new spirit gear, uniforms, and equipment needed for the program.
