The resident schedule for school days is structured to help them with their studies and balancing the many extracurricular activities they participate in each year. The schedule for non-school days is more flexible but filled with activities to facilitate developing new friendships, learning about other cultures, and balancing studies and relaxation.


    Schedule for School Days

    6:30am: Breakfast begins and is served until 5 minutes before school begins.

    7:00am: Residents are expected to wake up by 7:00am each day using their own alarm clocks. Prefects and the school nurse come through the dorms to make sure students are awake.

    8:04am - 3:00pm: Residents are in classes. Classes and lunch time vary depending on the school schedule each day.

    3:00pm - 4:00pm: All students are encouraged to see teachers for extra help and tutoring.

    4:00pm - 5:00pm: Residents participate in a sport, 8th period class, or another approved extracurricular. Students may not be in their dorm rooms at this time.

    5:00pm - 5:30pm: Some students are still participating in sports. This time is break time if a student is not in a sport.

    5:30pm - 6:15pm: Dinner is served.

    6:15pm - 7:00pm: Free time. Many residents begin their homework and studying during this period.

    7:00pm - 9:00pm: Study Hall: students may study in the Resource Center with two night time teachers or in their own rooms.

    9:00pm - 10:30pm: Students continue studying or engage in recreation. The Gymnasium is typically open for basketball, as is the weight room for exercise. Some students cook during this time or make a snack in the kitchen.

    10:30pm - 11:00pm: Students prepare for sleep and it is quiet hours in the dormitories.

    11:00pm - Lights out for underclassmen unless they requested late study. Some students choose to sleep earlier.

    12:00am - Lights out for the seniors.


    Schedule for Non-School Days

    Activities and Trips are posted well in advance. They range from open pool, 3 on 3 basketball tournaments, karaoke, hiking, beach visits, museums, shopping for necessities, etc.

    Most weekends there is at least one mandatory event: the whole Dorm will have an on-campus community building activity or an off-campus activity.

    10:00am - 12:00pm Brunch

    Daytime - A Dorm trip to the beach, hiking, mini golf, Sky Zone, a Grocery Store, Target, etc.

    Daytime - Usually the pool is open for an hour or two during the day.

    2:00pm - 3:00pm Deli Bar

    5:30pm - 6:30pm Dinner

    Evening - Open Gym, a movie, games, basketball, tennis, weight room, etc.
